The Domestic Study Tour Program of JECIE aims to help primary and secondary school students understand the national condition of China, foster the conception of patriotism, broaden their horizons, and increase their general/overall knowledge. It focuses on enhancing students' social responsibility, innovative spirit, and practical abilities. The project design targets the "comprehensive development of students" and meticulously plans diverse research-based study tour courses. These courses tightly integrate knowledge and practice from various fields, including prestigious universities and enterprises, national defense education, science and humanities, historical sites, and revolutionary culture. This integration forms a comprehensive educational system that combines knowledge impartation, practical exploration, and personal experience. Through participation in this program, students not only gain rich knowledge and practical experience,but also cultivate their overall qualities and innovative abilities, promoting the formation of correct views on the world, life and values.
Through solemn ceremonies and various cultural activities such as the coming-of-age ceremony and the Kai-Bi (initiation into literacy) ceremony, students can comprehend the meaning of growth through traditional customs, learn how to respect others and to be gratful, and cultivate their sense of resonsibility.
Students are organized to visit top domestic universities, participate in campus tours, alumni sharing sessions, and laboratory visits, allowing them to have immersive experience of the academic atmosphere of higher education institutions and inspiring their academic pursuits.
In collaboration with research institutions, students explore major national projects and engage in STEM courses, such as programming and 3D printing. This allows them to experience the charm of technology, and to develop problem-solving skills and awareness of innovation.
By visiting revolutionary memorials and the former residences of great leaders, and through field studies and situational teaching, students gain a deep understanding of Chinese revolutionary history, promote patriotism, and strengthen their sense of mission of the times.
Through farming experiences at agricultural bases and handicraft workshops, students learn the value of labor, acquire basic life skills, and cultivate endurance and self-service capabilities.
